August - Cancer Care 2010/2011 – The National Cancer Directory - We are very pleased to announce that Cancer Buddies Network has been included in this very prestigious Cancer Directory. This is now in its 10th year of publication and endorsed by the All Party Parliamentary Group on Cancer. It is the only fully comprehensive reference book covering cancer staff at all UK Acute hospitals as well as giving details of all UK hospices and the 300 main UK Cancer Charities and organisations. Notice the word ‘main’ as not all charities have been included so this is quite an accolade.

30th July - Cancer Buddies Network Membership reaches 3,500!

24th/25th June - 2nd National Cancer Conference in Hull - We ran our first CBN workshop called 'Caring & Sharing with Cancer Buddies Network'. It was very well attended by a mixed audience of patients and professionals, and a tremendous success! They much enjoyed our interactive CBN powerpoint presentation and we had a great discussion on the benefits of the special kind of support that CBN offers. When it was over, we invited them back to our stand to pick up some info. to take back to their hospitals with them, and were delighted when our leaflets and posters just walked off the table by the hundreds! Our very special thanks to Maryr, Tall Susie and Taxolgirl who all came to support Colin and myself and help with the workshop, we so enjoyed meeting you - thanks guys, you were brilliant!

24th May 2010 - Francis Jones, a remarkable young man is taking part in the Namibia 24hr Ultra Marathon on behalf of CBN - Unfortunately owing to unforeseen circumstances, this had to be postponed till next year.

13th March - JanPurple and friends ran an afternoon Tea Party in Crewe on behalf of the Eve Appeal raising hundreds of pounds for this very worthy charity and helping to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. It was well attended by approx. 60 people and several of our own CBN members were there to share the afternoon with her too. 3rd February 2010 - CBN joined Free Index, an important marketing tool for businesses over the last 8 years, and now with a growing charity base. Thanks to some wonderful reviews by our members, CBN has shot straight to the top of the Charities section. January 2010 - Martin White has offered to race in CBN colours in the Subaru Cup again this year - we thank him from the bottom of our hearts for everything he's already achieved and are sure he'll be going on to even bigger and better things in 2010 - we're behind him all the way!
